There are two distinct production methods for high magnetic susceptibility oriented silicon steel (HiB), one using high temperature heating and hot rolling of slabs (above 1380°C) in the hot rolling process and the other using low temperature heating and hot rolling (below 1280°C) + nitriding treatment in the post process.
