Takeoff silicon steel sheet
It is made from hot rolled billets or continuous cast billets in coils of approximately 2.3mm thickness. For the manufacture of low-Si products, hot-rolled strip rolls are cold-rolled after pickling to a thickness of 0.5 MM. For high silicon products, hot rolled strip is pickled (or normalized at 800~850°C and then pickled), cold rolled to 0.55 or 0.37MM thick, annealed at 850°C in a continuous furnace with mixed hydrogen and nitrogen atmosphere, and then cold rolled to 0.35 or 6.10MM thick at a low pressure rate of 0~50%. This small reduction rate cold rolling increases the grain size and reduces the iron loss during annealing. Finally, both cold-rolled sheets are annealed in a continuous furnace at 20°C under a mixture of 850% hydrogen and nitrogen and then coated with an insulating film of phosphate and chromate. The finished thickness is reached after cold rolling, and the supply condition is mostly 0.35mm and 0.5mm thick strips. The BS of cold-rolled non-oriented silicon steel is higher than that of oriented silicon steel.
